Do you sell tickets in advance?
If you would like to buy tickets in advance and reserve a time for your visit, please call us at (410) 417-7116. You can purchase a Gift Certificate for your family and friends. You may also use this form for to pre-register your group of 6 or more. Please see our Field Trips page to register your group’s field trip.
Who should visit the Discovery Center at Water's Edge?
The Discovery Center at Water’s Edge has fun and engaging STEM activities for all ages, but our exhibits are geared toward school-aged children.
How do we get there?
The Discovery Center at Water’s Edge is located at 4505 Pulaski Hwy., Belcamp, MD 21017.
Where do we park?
There are parking spots at the Discovery Center at Water’s Edge location. During certain events, you may need to park in our overflow lot, which is located in the Water’s Edge Complex next door with a short walk on a gravel trail.
How do I find out about workshops, classes, and special events?
You can view our Events Calendar to find out everything that is currently scheduled at the Discovery Center at Water’s Edge.
How long is a typical visit?
Your admission grants you access for the entire duration of our scheduled hours on the day of your visit. Most visitors typically spend around two hours exploring the exhibits. On non-peak days, you can exit and re-enter by obtaining a wristband at the front desk before leaving.
Do you allow field trips?
Yes, we do.
Do you sell gift certificates?
Yes, please visit our Gift Certificate Purchase page to purchase admission tickets. Membership Gift Certificates will be available soon.
Do you sell food, or can I bring lunch? What is your food policy?
While we don’t offer food for sale, you’re welcome to bring an individually packed lunch to enjoy in our designated eating areas. Please note that we are not able to provide cooling of heating of food items, Additionally, covered beverage containers and individual serving drinks are permitted. Kindly be mindful of allergies and ensure you clean your area, disposing of all food items in marked containers. Please note that we do not accept food delivery orders, and group eating or food serving is only permitted with a confirmed room rental through advance reservation.
