Groups & Field Trips
Bring your group to the Discovery Center at Water’s Edge for a hands-on, curiosity-sparking experience your students won’t forget. We’re excited to welcome schools, camps, and community groups for engaging field trips and group visits.
Simply complete the Group Reservation Form, and a member of our team will follow up to confirm details and answer any questions.
Group Rates
(2-hour visit)
6–17 children: $7 per child
18–39 children: $6 per child
40+ children: $5 per child
Additional time is available for $2 per child per hour (subject to availability).
Accompanying adults are $5 each; the group organizer is free.
Payments
No advance deposit required. Payment is due upon arrival and may be made by cash, credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express), or business check payable to Discovery Center at Water’s Edge. Purchase orders or invoice requests must be arranged at the time of reservation.
Parking
Limited parking is available at the Preview Center. Additional parking is located off Bata Blvd. in the nearby office complex, just a short walk away.
Cancellations & Weather
Please notify us at least 7 days in advance to cancel. Late cancellations may incur a fee of $75 or 25% of the total cost (whichever is greater).
There is no fee for weather-related or school-closure rescheduling. In the event of severe weather, closures will be communicated directly and posted on our social media channels.
Things to Know
All students must be accompanied by adult chaperones at all times.
Chaperones are responsible for student behavior during the visit.
Groups displaying inappropriate behavior may be asked to leave without a refund.
A free room rental is available for meals or ceremonies after exhibit time (advance reservation required).
